As far as my biography, I have always loved children’s literature. When I was small, my parents could not afford many of the luxuries other children my age enjoyed, so for entertainment, I was a frequent visitor to my school or local library where I checked out many, many books. This is where I soon discovered exotic worlds where bears talk, dragons fly, castles loomed in the distance, and I could be anything I wanted to be if I could find just the right story to sink into. I never have stopped believing in the magic of books and where they can instantly take a child’s imagination.

This love of literature is still with me, and I hope it never goes away. Presently, I am a children’s librarian at a wonderful elementary school for children grades K – 5th. Before this, I was a classroom teacher for 3rd through 5th grade. When I can’t be found in the library surrounded by books, I can be found in my home office writing. I love to write books that make children think about their circumstances, as well as others, and how it is important to show empathy toward each other. I also love to write book reviews.
