David Mellon

I grew up in Denham Springs, a little town on a river in south-east Louisiana (that floods a lot these days.) I went to San Francisco Art Institute and California Institute for the Arts and graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena with a degree in Illustration. After years of painting pictures and drawing storyboards for film and tv commercials, I chanced upon UCLA Extension Writers' Program where I was nominated for the 2016 Allegra Johnson Prize. Silent is my first novel. I've been a member of SCBWI since 2011. I live in Los Angeles with my wife Judith.
