Ric Willmot

Ric Willmot was born in Maclean, New South Wales, Australia in 1965, grew up travelling Australia with his mother, and settled in Brisbane in 1976. He attended a Catholic boarding school and went to university in Brisbane. He worked as a bar attendant and bouncer while studying at university before taking full-time employment in a chartered accounting firm.

He started a tax practice in 1988 and built it into a multi-disciplinary professional services firm. Ric coached rugby professionally in Ireland, Korea and Japan and returned to Australia to take on the first of his three CEO roles in 1998. In 2004, he launched his consultancy firm: Executive Wisdom. Ric has won many awards and accolades all of which he states don't even get him a ride on a bus or train unless he buys a ticket, and they all take a back seat to his young daughter's awards and trophies.

Ric Willmot provides advice and coaching to owners, executives and corporations in Asia, Middle East, and the Pacific on improving organisational performance. The author of eight books, he has had more than 200 articles published in business magazines and is frequently interviewed on radio and television because of his contrarian insights and opinions on business, politics and life.
