Encouragement is my love language, so I'm a huge fan of Leslie Knope's adoration of her best friend, Ann Perkins, and the way she dishes out compliments.
...as well as her love for breakfast food.
I get my daily intake of water in the form of coffee and can never just eat the suggested serving size of 3 Oreos.
I'm a recovering habitual procrastinator (thanks to bullet journaling) and a wannabe minimalist.
A believer that you can't go wrong with black and white stripes and mustard yellow.
MY BACKGROUND
I'm a self taught hand lettering artist and published illustrator, stay-at-home wife and mompreneur of 2 beautiful children, living in small town Indiana.
With no formal art training and a business degree, I started my first handmade business in 2011 that began as a creative outlet with a dream of getting to pursue my creative passions while raising our babies at home.
This past year I reached one of my childhood dreams by getting to illustrate two coloring books!
I also cohost the Handmade Vintage Market locally with some friends, doing the graphic design, branding, designing and editing of our digital magazine and all marketing materials. Being a part of the handmade community in this way has been a blast!
Fueled by a whole lot of grace and plenty of coffee, I am passionate about encouraging others to take time daily for creativity (mini dance break out sessions also encouraged).
I'm a natural extrovert who loves being in community with others and teaching what I know and love. My hope is to inspire and encourage you in your creative journey by providing resources, courses and a Facebook community to connect to one another!
