Andrea Perin

Born in 1970 in the verdant Veneto province, Andrea Perin —the writer of the lagoon— graduated and specialized in scientific disciplines while working a wide variety of jobs, from temporary porter to complaint manager for a pharmaceutical holding company.

In 2002, he realized his dream by creating a farm specializing in exotic ornamental fish.

A lover of art, literature, and a bibliophile, he spends almost all his free time in Venice, on the lagoon, or immersed in its extensive library. He writes at night or just before dawn, depending on his insomnia. He doesn't use AI (artificial intelligence) to write, and he doesn't "buy" reviews or favors.

When asked: "Why do you only write about Venice?"

He replies: "Love... and a pinch of vanity."

His stories manage to lead the reader into an intriguing and unconventional Venice. This is one of the reasons why one of his works was included in the prestigious anthology "Venice Tales" by Oxford University Press.
