Hello readers,

Thank you for being interested enough to check out my bio.

I have travelled to Africa many times over the past 12 years, visiting South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, and have been lucky enough to stand right next to the thundering Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and feel the vibrations from Mosi-oa-tunya.

Having traversed the entire nineteen and a half thousand square kilometres of the magnificent Kruger National Park, from Mpumalanga (meaning - the place where the sun rises) in eastern South Africa, right up to the northern borders of Zimbabwe and Mozambique, my love for Africa became entwined with who I am.

Most of my earlier books are fiction with an authentic wild African theme, and my more recent stories are set in and around the beautiful Island of Tasmania.

In between these two completely different genres, I was asked to write the true story of Frederick Joubert Duquesne - fondly known as South Africa’s James Bond because of his seemingly impossible panther-like ability to escape from the British enemy in the second Boer War.

Duquesne’s hatred of Lord Kitchener, and his Scorched Earth Policy, which abused and killed his entire family, caused Duquesne to hate the English with such a vengeance that he became a top spy for the Germans in both world wars, landing him on the FBI’s most wanted list for years.

The question is still out there - who really sank The Bismarck?

This book has created world wide interest and is titled ‘A Magnificent Lie - A Voice from the Grave.’

I wrote this book from my home in Brisbane, Australia - a far cry I know from the shores of South Africa, but my travels to that magnificent country helped me to put the pages of this incredible story together.

Happy reading friends,

Paula
