Dawn Beebe

Dawn Beebe was born in Fort Myers, Florida and grew up in St. Augustine. As a child, she found the power of words intriguing. She spent hours writing plays or short stories, and imaging new worlds. Despite her enchantment with words, her biggest dream was to become an astronaut. She was fascinated with outer space, but even more than that, she wanted to marry Captain Kirk.

Dawn eventually attended college at the University of Maryland University College and obtained her BA in History. Since then, she has had many roles which include wife (not Captain Kirk's), mother, teacher, receptionist and homemaker.

It wasn’t until much later in life she picked up her pen. Her first story was published in 2006 by Guide Magazine. Since then, more than thirty other stories have been accepted or published. She has completed her first historical fiction novel for middle grade students/young adults. The novel is named "Secret Soldiers: Into the Flames."

Dawn currently lives in Virginia with her husband Jack, her cat Sugar, and her dog Apollo.

She is working on a new historical fiction novel.
