Mark Potter

Mark Potter is a retired teacher from Kaufman, Texas. He taught history, literature, and math for 24 years at Nash Intermediate, before returning to the first school he taught at out of college, the Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Mark loves history and can often be found reading a history book in his free time. As a child he loved Greek mythology, and read every book on the subject in the town of Duncanville, Texas. He turned the love of mythology and the love of history in the novel, the Spartan Sisters. He began the book in the early 90s, rewrote it several times, before turning it into the novel you see here today.

Mark has visited 33 countries, so I guess you could say he loves to travel. His favorite travel destinations include Romania, Spain, and Brazil. Dracula's Castle, the Alhambra, and the Cristo on Corcovado, who wouldn't love those places? He lived in Santa Cruz, Bolivia when he was in his 20s and returned there after he retired in 2016. He loves Bolivia and plans on visiting every corner of the country before venturing into the surrounding countries. His love of Bolivia inspired his short novel, the Mojon con Cara.
