Steven Smith

Steve Smith is married to Kerie. He is retired and lives in Blenheim, New Zealand. He has two grown-up daughters, Ana and Su. He has had a career path which saw him working for many years in multinational insurance companies before starting his own firm. That was sold in 2007 and since then he has competed in a number of endurance sporting events. His 4th Ironman was in Taupo, New Zealand in 2015. In recent years he has voluntarily helped various businesses both locally and throughout the Pacific. In 2016 he started training to become a firefighter and, since then, has fought fires in both New Zealand and Canada. In 2023 he was appointed Chief Fire Officer of the Blenheim Voluntary Rural Fire Force.
