I’ve written for as long as I can remember. My house is littered with as many finished and unfinished pieces of mine as there are books by authors I love and admire. A friend strongly encouraged me to publish. This led to my first book, Second Chances, which was really an experiment for me.

At that time I had written about half of what turned out to be the book Keep of the Grass. I sort of fell in love with my characters and enjoyed the idea of writing humor. I am currently working on a follow-up book to Grass and have an outline for a third.

I was a teacher by trade and had the good fortune to have taught when everything was not so regulated. We explored much that was not included in state testing and it challenged us all. I taught all kinds of students, some who have achieved marvelous thing and some who remain close by and I see them often. When I retired from the classroom, I worked part-time for the community college system. It was a different teaching experience, but also one I enjoyed. Is it any wonder my characters are retired teachers? They have fun outside the classroom too.

I have books that I hope to work on and also publish which are very different, but we will see.
