John Scott Redd

John Scott Redd was born in Portsmouth, Va., to a young Navy officer and his wife, grew up around the less-exotic locales up and down the eastern seaboard of the United States (with one short but pivotal stay in Bahrain), and currently resides outside of Washington, D.C., with his wife and five daughters. A trained philologist and student of the ancient literature, he is particularly interested in the Bible as literature and the implications for interpretation. He currently teaches Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., where he also serves as the president of that campus.
