Hoda Selim is an Egyptian economist, currently living in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Previously, she worked for at the Economic Research Forum, a research institute based in Cairo, Egypt and at the World Bank’s Cairo Office in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Monitoring. She earned her PhD from Sciences Po in Paris. Her research focuses on the macroeconomics of oil management, the political economy of development as well as exchange rate and monetary economics. Her first co-edited volume on Understanding and Avoiding the Oil Curse in the Arab World has just been published by Cambridge University Press.
