Filippo Trevisan

Filippo Trevisan is Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Public Communication in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, DC, where he also serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute on Disability and Public Policy. His research explores technology, political participation, and social change advocacy. He is the author of: Story Tech: Power, Storytelling and Social Change Advocacy (University of Michigan Press, 2025 - with Michael Vaughan and Ariadne Vromen); Disability Rights Advocacy Online: Voice, Empowerment and Global Connectivity (Routledge, 2017); and co-edited The Routledge Handbook of Political Campaigning (Routledge, 2024).
