Toby Austin Locke is an anthropologist who works on the psychosocial impact of emerging technologies. He has researched and written on a range of topics including ADHD, TikTok, conspiracy theory, AI and machine learning, and the philosophy of death; and taught anthropology, sociology, criminology, research methods and psychosocial studies at Goldsmiths, Birkbeck, LSBU and the University of Roehampton. He is currently a lecturer in digital anthropology at UCL.
