Ed Blonski

For over three decades, Ed Blonski has loved telling stories.

This somewhat naturally led him to be a pastor, where each week he doesn’t so much as preach as tell stories about Jesus Christ and what he has done for all people.

Growing up in Northern Illinois, Ed Blonski was influenced by some of the greatest storytellers of all time – Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, David Eddings, Edward Rutherfurd, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg among others.

After washing out of robotic engineering school, Ed Blonski switched disciplines and started working on a theology degree from a small but up-and-coming private Christian college in Wisconsin.

Graduating from Concordia College in Mequon, Wisconsin (now Concordia University Wisconsin) with a degree in Pastoral Ministry, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri and began his post-graduate theological studies at Concordia Seminary.

His love of stories soon led him to the local radio station on campus and over the course of eight years honed his craft of telling stories on the airwaves of St. Louis at KFUO AM/FM radio.

During this time, he met the love of his life and married Nancy. They were soon blessed with three incredible sons – which continue to add to his stories.

Ordained in 1995, he shifted his storytelling to weekly sermons at a parish in rural Michigan and then small-town Wisconsin.

Approached by an internet entrepreneur out of Boston, he created and hosted first a Christian music and story-telling internet radio show and then a classical music radio show from 2002 to 2009. During that time, he also moved his family from small town Wisconsin to suburban Los Angeles.

In 2010, he moved his family back to his home in Illinois and has been telling stories as an Associate Pastor and internet podcaster.

In 2002, in addition to his pastoral ministry, Ed Blonski also begin a focused Christian Men’s Ministry – True Men Ministries. Part of True Men Ministries was the writing and publishing of daily devotions called “In My Father’s Footsteps” and a monthly podcast called “The True Man.”

In My Father’s Footsteps – the weekly devotion – is now being released in book and e-book form. So far there are four volumes of stories about how God blesses, tests, and challenges people through and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

In addition to telling stories, Ed loves to spend time with his wife watching his oldest and youngest sons play baseball (collegiate and high school at the moment, but praying that professional baseball is in their near future), and watching movies, fishing, and watching hockey with their middle son.
