J.P. Sexton grew up on the Inishowen peninsula - the most northerly point in Ireland.
Life was tough growing up in Donegal in the late 60's/early 70's - made all the more so by a
father who totally lacked any kind of shame gene. His father's unconventional antics were responsible for endless school yard brawls and for the young lad turning to writing as an escape from his harsh surroundings. The escape became a passion and as a result; "The Big Yank" was born. The sequel to TBY; "Adventures of an Irishman in America," follows the author's travel to the U.S.A. in the mid-80's and the unique situations in which he becomes involved. In true Sexton fashion, he jumps in at the deep end, taking the reader on a wild ride where anything is possible - even the seemingly impossible.
