Elizabeth Mackinlay

Liz is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at The University of Queensland. She is a feminist academic and activist who is passionate about her academic work as a contemporary Bluestocking in Women's and Gender Studies, Indigenous Australian education, and all things related to gender equality and justice. She has just completed two books,'Teaching and learning like a feminist: Storying our experiences in higher education' and with Briony Lipton, 'We only talk feminist here: Feminist academics, voice and agency in the neoliberal university', and has written extensively in the fields of ethnomusicology, Indigenous Australian Studies and autoethnography. Away from the academy, Liz is an ultra-marathon runner, a material girl at heart who loves to quilt, and an avid AFL Richmond supporter.
