I am a 56 year old mother of two. I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My mother was a stay at home mom and my father worked many jobs to support our family. We lived in a small house and did not have much; but, we were happy. I did not have the opportunity to go to college after graduating high school. A Staten Island dentist trained me to be his dental assistant at the age of 16 and I continued dental assisting upon completing high school. Shortly thereafter I decided to attend Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Manhattan. After completing the program at Katharine Gibbs I got a job working as an administrative assistant to the president of a real estate development firm, Kellogg Properties, Inc located in New York City. I worked for Kellogg for approximately twenty years. My two children were born in Staten Island. When they were young my husband and I decided to move our family to Manahawkin, NJ. With the knowledge and experience I had acquired while working at Kellogg Properties, I started a small construction company in New Jersey. We built spec homes for sale in Ocean County. Business thrived for many years until the political corruption as descried in my book, Why I Went to Prison, Living in a Chris Christie's New Jersey, put an end to the business that I worked so hard to build. I wrote this book to create an awareness of the political corruption that exists in Ocean County and throughout New Jersey. It has virtually ruined many families' lives. I hope that some day justice will be served and that those politicians responsible for devastating these families are punished. I went back to school to acquire my dental assistant and dental radiology licenses as a means to support my family. I am presently working in that field once again.
