Sheila Hurst

Sheila Hurst grew up in Michigan and Massachusetts, contributing to a split personality involving a love of farmlands and the ocean. Before recently becoming a full-time writer, she edited proposals and science journal articles at an oceanographic research facility. She's also worked as a reporter and freelance writer. Her articles have appeared in Cape Cod Life, Cape Cod Magazine, The Enterprise, and Boston newspapers. Her short stories have been Glimmer Train and Writer’s Digest finalists. Ocean Echoes is her first novel.
