George is the author of Dyed In The Green, the first fiction series ever written about Canada's national parks and is also the author of Harking, his first work of YA fiction, also with a national park setting. Harking was long-listed for the 2020 Shelf Unbound Indie Book Awards and won a Gold Medal at the 2022 Independent Publisher Book Awards for Best Regional Fiction (Canada West).
George continues to be passionate about parks and protected areas and this passion forms the backdrop for much of his writing. Rooted in reality, George uses contemporary issues facing protected areas around the world as the basis for his stories. Set against the backdrop of Canada's most spectacular landscapes, his stories weave elements of suspense into informative yet enjoyable tales about Canada’s iconic special places.
