Fady Asly

My name is Fady Asly. I was born in Lebanon and later moved to Georgia in 1998, where I became a citizen of this amazing country.

In 2016, I published my first book, "Life with Scorpions," which covered my adventures in the Caucasus and Central Asia following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

I never imagined that I would ever write a book. However, doing business in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia in the early 1990s exposed me to many adventures, including murder and kidnapping, among many other misadventures.

Some of the stories were so surreal that my friends urged me to write a book about all that had happened to me and my associates. This is how "Life with Scorpions" came into existence.

"Mirrors and Illusions," my second book, was published in 2020. This book reflects our emotions and life experiences; it takes us on a journey within ourselves to discover our deepest facets, those hidden aspects, the diversity of our feelings, and the reality of human nature, in contemplation of life, our inner selves, and a celebration of love, dreams, and happiness.

In 2023, I published "Utopias and Realities." My third book is a compilation of thoughts but also traverses the vast landscape of human emotions and experiences. It explores life in its myriad forms, from the profound to the mundane, from the serious to the humorous.

"Exploring Beyond Beliefs" was published in 2024, in this book I objectively examine over fifty multifaceted topics that mark our existence. These subjects range from the foundational elements of religion and culture to the intricate complexities of emotions, addictions, marriage, social media, wars, wealth, poverty, death, and the complex dance of political discourse, that I explore with a depth that transcends sometimes conventional moral boundaries.

In January 2026, I published "Funny Stories From The Caucasus and Beyond", a book containing forty of the funniest and most awkward stories that happened to me in the past decades. This is the book that will make you forget about your stress and your worries and make you smile or laugh every single page; all the stories are real and authentic.
