Andrew L. Hicks

Andrew L. Hicks writes like he’s trying to set fire to silence. His work blends memoir, manifesto, and metaphysical field notes — always reaching for something honest, even if it’s uncomfortable.

He’s the author of The Art of Being Human, a book that doesn’t try to fix you, just walks beside you through the wreckage. He’s also behind The Fern and the Rose and Reversion, two upcoming novels that tackle isolation, addiction, and the weird, wired beauty of survival.

Once a blackout poet of self-destruction, Andrew got sober in 2022 and now devotes his life to telling the truth — or at least chasing it around the room with a net. He makes electronic music, spoils his cat, and occasionally wonders if the system is working (spoiler: it’s not).

He believes in art as protest, writing as resurrection, and being relentlessly kind even when your voice shakes.
