I'm an Australian writer, a born and raised Queenslander. For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be a writer, and was encouraged by family and friends in my passion. Music often makes its way into the things that I write, even if it's just a case of a scene being inspired by a particular piece. I can't help it; my mother was still playing for my father's singing students the night before I was born. I was squashed up against the piano in utero, it seems.

I'm currently unemployed, aside from the occasional paid library work at the school where I volunteer. A friend of mine, Cath Bilson, suggested that I try self-publishing. (You can find her books on Amazon.) Since the average age of people I hang out with is around 70+, I figured this was a good idea.

While I intend to publish print and ebooks, I'd like to create audio books as well. I do as much research as I can for whatever I write (my bulging reference bookshelf will attest to that), but when I just can't find the information I'm after... magic did it.

I write a few different genres, but my favourite would have to be mysteries. That's why, if there's anything mysterious about a character, I'll leave hints all over the place in the story. Kind of like 'The Sixth Sense'; you appreciate it even more upon a second reading.
