Mrs A A Maynard

Annette A Maynard, a Barbadian author, has been an educator for the past 28 years and has taught at high school as well as the college level. She has a Bachelors degree in Science from the University of the West Indies and a Masters in Education from Miami University. She has always been fascinated by how children learn and in her writing she attempts to shine a light on the rich, Caribbean cultural heritage, with all the weird and interesting characters. She hopes to inspire children to love reading, to be enthralled with the world of words, to heighten their curiosity about nature, to develop a thirst for knowledge and to have an appreciation for the wonderful differences that make each of us unique.
