Tamara G. Cooper

Born and raised in East Texas among ranchers, refined ladies, and good ol' boys was the perfect gift for me to learn about Texas life. I love writing mysteries with just a touch of romance. Most of my books are romantic suspense, but Sophie's books are considered cozy romantic suspense. "Love, Again" is my one romance with a touch of suspense.

My Books:

JUST RELEASED: THE DIAMOND TREE, Book 2 of The Winslows of Texas

During a Montana mountain snowstorm, reclusive and handsome mountain man, Eryk Sobec, finds Nora Winslow half-frozen on his land. At the same time, his nearest neighbor, his brother Alek, rescues a frightened little girl named Willa, who is desperately running from men intent on hurting her. When those same men attack both Sobec homesteads in their relentless pursuit of Willa, the brothers make a desperate choice: gather everyone under one roof and prepare for a siege.

Screams echo through the night. Gunfire shatters windows. Livestock become targets. In the strained yet quiet moments between attacks, Nora and Eryk discover something unexpected: a connection neither can ignore and the fragile promise of something more. But evil surrounds them. Survival demands everything they can give. Their strength is tested. Their faith is tested.

Trapped in a place where hope collides with danger, will love and faith find a way through the storm?

Sophie is a mystery writer who's a little quirky, strong-willed, funny, and because she looks at life through a lens of curiosity, trouble easily finds her. She certainly doesn't want his help, but she needs his help, because the accusations are piling up! Will they be able to work together, solve these mysteries, and finally clear Sophie's name?

THE NEW NEIGHBORS. Book 2 of Sophie O'Brion Mysteries. Cozy Romantic Mystery.

Whispers of a long-lost treasure map from the 1860s have circulated for years around Sophie's hometown of Forman Falls, Texas. Sophie had no idea that the elderly woman who gave her a faded sketch with dog-ears and no X-marks-the-spot was giving her a real treasure map. But treasure hunters know she has it now, and they will stop at nothing to take it from her.

Something feels wrong when new neighbors move in next door in the middle of the night with eleven children. Some begin to disappear. A woman is murdered down her street. Her boyfriend, a police officer in Forman Falls, is avoiding her, and treasure hunters are after her. As danger closes in from every direction, Sophie must uncover the truth about her mysterious new neighbors before more children disappear...and before the treasure hunters make her their next victim.
