Harvey Hamer

Hi, my name's Harvey Hamer. I published my first book, The Diamond Dimensions: Volume 1: Exploration in 2015, having got permission from Daniel Middleton, DanTDM, at Insomnia 54, a gaming convention in Britain. I wrote that at the age of twelve. Over six years I have written many more books in The Diamond Dimensions universe, based on DanTDM's original series.

Adapting the books, I have created my own story inside the universe that Dan has created, whilst also trying to stay true to the videos. One other series that I wrote with my dad was in that universe, The Cave. We also collaborated on a Rift Chronicle which takes place after Volume 5 of The Diamond Dimensions.

Wanting to expand my own Diamond Dimensions based universe, I branched off to another series, The Watchers, which continues the journey of characters old and new who live inside The Watchers' Hall. What will happen to them once their viewing rift is gone?

Now that my fictional universe's story has concluded, I have released four omnibus volumes that collect every novel and short story worked on by me that make up the large interconnected Diamond Dimensions universe of multiple series. Some books have been reworked (mainly the early volumes) and each volume is edited together in chronological order (for a much better easier reading experience than my second reading order below). Each volume also contains an exclusive new short story.

Of course I am huge fan of DanTDM's to be writing these stories and I am thrilled to know that he has read them too. I've also appeared in a MoreTDM Vlog! I really appreciate the great reviews and feedback I've received, it makes me want to write more and more, so thank you!

And for anyone wondering, here are two orders in which the books within my Diamond Dimensions universe could be read:

No.1: The order of release. I would recommend this one as the story grows into a wider universe as I would say my writing improves with each book.

The Diamond Dimensions: Volumes 1-3

The Cave: Volume 1

The Diamond Dimensions Origins: The Watcher

The Diamond Dimensions: Volumes 4-5 (including Volume 4.5, a book of short stories)

The Cave: Volume 2

The Watchers: Chapter 1

The Diamond Dimensions: Volume 6

The Watchers: Chapter 2

The Diamond Dimensions: Volume 7

The Watchers: Chapter 3

Rift Chronicles: Timelight

The Diamond Dimensions: Volume 8

The Watchers: Chapter 4

The Cave: Volume 3

The Watchers: Chapter 5

The Diamond Dimensions: Legacies

The Diamond Dimensions: Misadventures

The Cave: Volume 4

No.2: The chronological timeline of events. TDD = The Diamond Dimensions, and Origins refers to Origins: The Watcher. Bear in mind that TDD and The Watchers series are happening concurrently, some do overlap in terms of chronology, so there is no defined order beyond TDD: Volume 6 unless the books' chapters are cut up. The Watchers 5 does crossover with and go beyond the events of TDD: Volume 8, though, and so should only be read after that book, although it begins before it.

The short stories that take place after Volume 5 come from The Diamond Dimensions: Legacies, whereas those from Volume 4.5 take place before Volume 5. The Library - A Caspar Short Story is included in The Watchers Part 1, which is a compendium of the first two books in that series. Severed Connections - A Markus Short Story is included in the omnibus The Watchers: Part 2, while Moving On - A Mara Short Story and The Atum Campaign are including in The Watchers: Part 3 as well as the Legacies short stories collection.
