V. Murphy Johnson

V. Murphy Johnson is a 1983 graduate of Berea College who has worn a lot of hats as a mother, a teacher, a stage-manager,a retail manager, and even an Amazon picker.

Writing plays as Valerie Brogan Powell, she has seen over seventy of her original works produced. Her novel, THE BRIDGE OF TOOME, and her more recent novela, JULIE, are available for purchase on amazon.com.

Ms. Johnson is lucky to live in Paris, Kentucky with her beloved, Patrick, her daughter,filmmaker-V. Powell and two recalcitrant cats. She is currently finishing her second full-length novel.
