Natalie Garrett

Natalie's career is the epitome of a liberal artist.

She’s held numerous administrative roles in higher education, been a founding team member at a tech startup, and has helped college students do internships all over the world. Her first book, The Study Abroad Journal guides students to set goals, take actions, record memories, and reflect on their learning to make the most out of their study abroad experience.

Thanks to her undergraduate education at Prescott College, she believes in the learning power of radical self-direction and experiential education. Natalie is a graduate of UCLA's Higher Education and Organizational Change M.A. program and is always contemplating her next great learning opportunity...

Natalie lives in Los Angeles, loves swimming and taking her dog Tungsten to the beach, Fridays working from her home office, and exploring the LA’s outdoor areas (yes, they do exist) with her husband, Mike. Oh, she also likes journaling of course.
