Marilyn Cohen Shapiro

Since retiring from a thirty-year career in adult education in Upstate New York and moving to Florida, Marilyn Cohen Shapiro has been writing about her own family stories as well as accounts of ordinary people with extraordinary lives. She is a regular contributor to Capital Region of New York’s Jewish World, the Heritage Florida Jewish News, and Australia’s Jewish Women of Words. Marilyn’s articles have also been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Forward, and websites around the world.

Marilyn lives in Kissimmee, Florida, with her husband Larry and whatever alligator has taken up residence in their pond. They enjoy avoiding moose while hiking on Colorado mountain trails, feasting on all varieties of vanilla ice cream, and spending precious time with their children and grandchildren.
