Travis Russell

My name is Travis Russell and I am a 24 year old software engineer.

During my more baby-faced days, I dreamt of nothing more than becoming a writer (obviously, I am still somewhat baby-faced). Over the years I traded in my white paged story books for yellow paged tomes, and by the time I turned 18 and began applying to college I was brimming with fantastical ideas and prodigious plans. Accepted into Dalhousie University to study psychology and Russian studies, my psyche eventually got the best of me when I transferred into mathematics and computer science in fear of failure to find a meaningful existence in the real world. While that pursuit eventually met happy endings, the flame sparked in my youth never faded. As I was completing my Master of Mathematics at the University of Toronto, I had all but given up on new dreams of becoming a mathematician in academia - instead my time was focused only on the novel in my head.
