Scott Laverty

Scott L. Laverty, born 1972, is a retired American military officer who is currently working in law enforcement and based in California. During Mr. Laverty's military career of 30 years, he served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. His military experience includes: commanding a recon Detachment, commanding three Infantry Companies, commanding an Infantry Battalion, commanding an Officer Candidate School, serving as an Infantry Division Chief-of-Staff (G) and a multitude of other staff positions.

Mr. Laverty has attended numerous educational institutions to include: Oxford University, Harvard University, Nazarene College, Trinity Law School, and multiple military and law enforcement institutions such as the Army Command and General Staff College. His education includes both BA and MA Degrees. Mr. Laverty’s graduate work included research in military warfare with papers written on the future threats for global conflict, currency wars, and underwater warfare. Mr. Laverty's thesis at Oxford University focused on researching leadership development in law enforcement and was published in 2016 (Bodleian Library, Oxford University).

Mr. Laverty is the author of several published books and articles, and is currently working on several new releases. Mr. Laverty currently resides in southern California with his wife Lauri who is also an author.
