Sandra Clark Boone

Sandra Clark Boone lives in Indianapolis, Indiana and has published fiction, nonfiction, poetry and photography, including the novel Joad's Harvest, the Chynna Boswell mystery series and the Betsy series of short stories. Sandra takes inspiration from her eight grandchildren: she began writing the Chynna Boswell mysteries, which feature a girl detective who is a wheelchair-user, when her granddaughter could not find books with disabled protagonists. She began writing the Betsy stories for another granddaughter who sent her a garage-sale doll and asked her to make clothes for it.
