Kerrie Hubbard

Kerrie grew up in Montana where helping with animal chores, weeding the garden and learning to can were part of life. After she moved out to the Big City to go to college, she realized how much she missed those ‘homemade’ ways of rural living.

After a bout with cancer in 2007, Kerrie bought some baby chicks, built a coop from recycled materials, adopted a rescue cat from a shelter and began devoting more of her time to her freelance professional artistic pursuits.

Creative Chickens: A Coloring Book for Chicken Lovers was born out of the blending of her two passions: Art and raising chickens. Her flock of fourteen backyard hens were the inspirations for the illustrations inside.
