Mr Derrick J Phillips

In the 1960s, as a member of the first Christian rock band, Derrick Phillips spent seven years in front-line evangelism, carrying the gospel into dingy night clubs, large concert halls, churches, town halls and all manner of venues throughout England and in Ireland. He was caught up in the early waves of the Charismatic Movement and served in ministry in several local churches, meanwhile pursuing a career in corporate management. He honed his writing skills in commercial marketing and freelance writing. The book, “Pilgrims Rock!”, is the true story of his seven-year adventure in musical evangelism. His other books arose from a lifetime as a student of the Bible, a pupil in the school of prayer, and an apprentice in the forge of life’s struggles. Brought up in the ruins of post-war London, he now lives in Bristol, England where he is a member of a large and growing church. His books, and his associated blog, encourage faith, hope, consistency, and prayer.
