As a citizen advocate, award-winning author, and KSQD 90.7FM radio host, Jill’s 31-year career in public

service, was and still is infused with a life-long passion for knowledge and a will to inspire change in politics, the

environment, higher education, and organizational development.

Jill was personally trained and authorized by vice president Al Gore (2007 - 4th class) to share his astonishing

“An Inconvenient Truth” presentation with schools and community groups across Silicon Valley. This revelatory

information caused Jill to realize America’s abandonment, not only of the planet but in many other important

aspects of society. America Abandoned – The Secret Velvet Coup That Cost Us Our Democracy, explores the

myriad ways abandonment is unknowingly permeating the lives of the American public and what “We, the

People” can do to reverse this course. Now, with Climate Abandoned - We’re on the Endangered Species List, she explores, with 22 additional chapter authors, how our planet has been abandoned and what we can do about it.

Jill was honored when asked to lead and facilitate national and international strategic planning meetings on

Information Literacy in Washington D.C., Prague, and Egypt, that created and built teams from around the world

to bring Information Literacy skills to their respective countries.

Also, Jill was delighted when asked to host a radio show on KSQD 90.7FM, www.ksqd.org, loosely based on

her book, America Abandoned. She now is producer and host of “Be Bold America!” a bi-weekly, hour-long radio program for those who are motivated to step-out with bold, spirited actions necessary to reunite this country and save our democracy.

Jill earned a master’s degree in public administration from San Jose State University’s Political Science

Department and was named distinguished alumni in the College of Applied Arts and Sciences. Jill is proud to

currently serve on the university’s Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association Executive Board.

Jill lives in Carmel, California with her husband, Jerry, and their two dogs, Sassy and Scooter.
