Michael Paul Johnson

Michael Paul Johnson, the senior editor of the World English Bible, isn’t really the author of the World English Bible in the normal sense of the word. The Holy Spirit inspired many people to write the Holy Bible, and many people preserved and translated the Holy Bible into English. Michael was more of a catalyst and focal point of a collaborative effort of many people working on this revision, communicating via the Internet. Because the World English Bible is in the Public Domain, other people besides me have published it and even made derivatives of it. Please note that I do not approve of any works derived from the World English Bible that change any of the meaning of the Holy Bible, including, but not limited to gender issues.

Michael has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. He also earned a Certificate in Bible Translation from the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics. Michael has lived in the United States of America, Germany, and Papua New Guinea. His biggest qualification for working on the World English Bible, however, is a clear call from God.
