Dr. Barry Rose is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and chief of orthopedic surgery and surgical division head for the Alameda division of the Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group. He has been a surgeon for over three decades and is dedicated to seeing compassionate care as a central focus of healing. He was born and raised in Kansas City where he attended college, medical school, and did his internship/residency at the University of Kansas. He also completed a hand/upper extremity fellowship at the University of California/San Diego. He enjoys speaking on healthcare issues and will be starting a website and blog related to critical issues about the future of healthcare. Dr. Barry resides in San Francisco with his wife Rose, and he has lived in the San Francisco Bay area for the last 11 years.
