Adam Stones is an award-winning writer and communications strategist working exclusively with people and brands making a positive impact. After several years writing for UK and international media (including with BBC Magazines and Telegraph Media Group), he then spent eight years working for two of London’s leading communications agencies: Burson Cohn & Wolfe (PRovoke’s Global Agency of the Year 2020) and Forster Communications (Consultancy of the Year 2021 at edie Sustainability Leaders Awards). In 2016, he moved to Amsterdam where he established the purpose-focused enterprise A’DAM Communications.
He is the author of three books:
- ‘Influence: Powerful Communications, Positive Change’ (a uniquely practical communications playbook for entrepreneurs and changemakers).
- ‘The Limey Project: A long, weird cycling odyssey into the heart of the USA’ (a widely-praised and inspiring travelogue).
- ‘And other stories: Curious tales of exactly 900 words’ (a collection of intriguing, comic and sometimes surreal flash fiction).
Cycling is a subject Adam actively advocates for and was the focus of his 2019 TEDx talk. He is a member of Impact Hub, a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts... and almost as good at Lego building as his two year old son.
