Jeff Kendall

Jeff Kendall was born in Detroit, Mi in 1956. He grew up in and lives in the Detroit area today. Jeff has run 24 marathons, including 4 Bostons and all the world majors. Jeff is a Detroit Free Press Marathon ambassador for 2024.

Jeff took up running as a hobby late in life and managed to go from no running at all to finish three marathons in one year. In one of those marathons, Jeff qualified to run Boston in 2016. His first book, Zero to Boston was released in September 2016. Jeff ran Boston, Big Sur and New York in 2017. He also released his second book Chasing Unicorns, about running Boston and Big Sur in 2017.

Jeff ran the Berlin marathon in September of 2018, the Chicago marathon in October and the Indy Monumental Marathon in November 2018. He released his third book The Five Boroughs, about running New York in 2019. Jeff ran his fifth world major marathon in 2019 and London two months later. Jeff released his fourth book Jeff Runs Berlin in 2020. He released his fifth through seventh books in his "Jeff Runs the World Majors" series, Jeff Runs Chicago, Jeff Runs Tokyo and Jeff Runs London in 2021.
