Glennis Browne

Glennis Browne was raised in country farmland districts in New Zealand. As an adult in the late twentieth century Glennis wrote her autobiography, and then began years of family tree research.

Moving to Australia with her husband and mother n law, the family settled in Queensland, enjoying Taking a greater part in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives.

After a decade of historical family research with trips to destinations where her family originated, Glennis began writing The Fortune Seekers stories, posing questions about their lives and attempting to answer why they made certain decisions. Gradually a picture of life in the 1860s became clear. Census papers and newspaper clippings enlarged the picture. The series became a living, breathing testimony of colonial living. Written as fiction, in first person.

Glennis is now self publishing using the pen name: Annie Browne.
