John Faust

John Faust is a writer and independent filmmaker whose work spans screenwriting, playwriting, directing, performance, and nonfiction. His work frequently explores horror, mythology, adaptation, and LGBTQ+ experience.

He contributed to Dark Horse Comics’ "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: A Character Guide and World Compendium" and has written and produced works for both stage and screen, including adaptations of F.W. Murnau’s "Nosferatu" and George A. Romero’s "Night of the Living Dead."

Faust holds a BFA from Texas State University and an MFA in Writing for Film and Television from Emerson College. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the founding artistic director of Weird City Theatre Company, and artistic director of Beguiled Theatre Company.

He was previously professionally credited as John F. Carroll.
