Jack O'Donnell was born in 1962 in Clydebank and had a variety of jobs. As soon as you say that you can bet they’ve all been pretty crap. From dishwasher to author was his local paper’s take on his epic journey. Lots of people supported the first crowd-funded book in Scotland. Many locals are inclined to tell him he's not too bad a writer (nobody in Scotland is ever classed as being good at anything, unless they invented penicillin). That’s called keeping your feet on the ground, but with more mucking swear words. He's worked out a simple formula: when he's writing (like now) he's a writer. When he's not, he's not.
