Mr. Ron Ramsay Hagg

I have written four novels: Jesus of Kneeland , Dreams of a New Day, To Keep From Drowning, and Escape In Time.

Escape In Time has been turned into is a full-length motion picture available on Netflix-DVD only. It is also available for viewing on You Tube.

Escape In Time is a tale of discovery, hope, and liberation, set in the backdrop of Northern California’s beautiful Humboldt County.

I am an exhibited photographer. I have done extensive world traveling. I love to swim and am very active.

Born: San Diego, California January 6, 1948. I am a fourth generation Californian.

Two children: Sunrise O’Mahoney and River O’Mahoney Hagg

Five grandchildren: Mariluna Roman, Makyla Bishop, Aiyela Bishop, Arcata Summers, and Alyna Rose Summers.

I was raised in Burbank, California. I attended San Diego State University – then transferred to Humboldt State University where I earned my BA in English and my English teaching credential. I received my counseling credential from San José State University.

I have worked in the educational field most of my adult life. My first job was helping children of migrant farm labor families. I also worked as a high school counselor and English teacher. When I worked at Hoopa Valley High School in Humboldt County, California I initiated and coordinated the effort to teach the languages of three of our area’s Indian tribes: Karuk, Yurok, and Hoopa. I got these languages accredited with the University of California system. We made the front page of the New York Times. This project was, and still is, a first in California and after 24 years these languages are still taught at Hoopa Valley High School.
