W. A. Gurba

Wayne grew up in northern Canada. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Combined Sciences at the University of North Dakota where he was a member of the UND Sioux ice hockey team winning the 1963 NCAA National Championship.

He travelled to Australia where he began his 30 year teaching career. Recruited to teach in Papua New Guinea, he was soon designing curriculum and teaching teachers throughout the country. He used his leisure time to build a 36 foot steel hulled sailing sloop. After six years of teaching and designing curriculum in Papua New Guinea he sailed his boat ‘ION’ to Florida.

He then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Science Education from the University of South Florida. He taught A.P. Chemistry and Biology in St. Petersburg, Fl. for 22 years. He also began exploring Christianity.

Accepting Jesus Christ lifted the scales from his eyes. His mission became supplying students with the scientific information needed to counter the Darwinist doctrine found in school texts. To implement his ministry Wayne developed an eight week power point course which exposes the Darwinian inconsistencies and highlights the increasing scientific evidence for an intelligent designer.

His new book, ‘Understanding Evolution,’ grew out of this course. Wayne lives in St. Petersburg, Florida with his wife, Sally.
