Kathy Burrus

Kathy never dreamed of being an author, never planned on writing a book. But her daughter, Leisha, left a book in the back of her journal. Kathy found it the day after Leisha died in a car/pedestrian accident. Leisha's book started, "Once upon a time I was born." then she quickly said, "I should start at the beginning. Once upon a time this boy met this girl and fell in love." Leisha only wrote one chapter, but in it she told her mom's story and ended with "and then I was born." Kathy shares, "If Leisha hadn't started my story, I don't think I would have become an author. But I immediately felt a responsibility to finish what she started."

Kathy Burrus is a leader of worship that lifts the chins of people to see the face of God. She is a lover of stories, and more importantly, of the people who live those stories. That is what drew her to be a life coach: to help people discover who they really are and live their lives with confidence.

Drawing from her experience as a life coach and former ministry involvement, Kathy shares with women a message of hope and healing that is authentically transparent. As an author, Kathy’s first book tells of the Lovely Traces of Hope she discovered as she grieved the overwhelming loss of her youngest daughter. Kathy speaks openly and honestly of the real struggles women face as we seek to make our remarkable difference.

Kathy and her husband, Rennie, have been married for over forty years and live in the middle of the cornfields near Columbus Grove, Ohio.

Kathy enjoys hosting tea parties with her grandmother’s china, listening to music that matches her mood, and observing nature in some of her favorite spaces. Add to that some precious time with family and friends, and she is one happy lady.
