Mr. Alexander wrote Darnia’s Quest while living with his beloved grandfather Ray Gemme, who recently passed away. Though it is a young readers’ book, Mr. Alexander hopes any adults who read it will remember to stay young at heart. His books have been showcased at literacy trade shows across America, including the Christian Booksellers Association.

“It is my intent that the children of our world will see in Darnia a character who loves himself and the Lord at the same time,” said Mr. Alexander. “Kids need to know it’s ok to be who God made them to be.” As an Assistant Principal and public school teacher, Mr. Alexander would make up stories that fascinated the children he taught: "I rocked teacher reading time by doing voice impersonations and becoming the part," says author Don Alexander.
