Tabitha Tan Yueh Li

Tabitha Tan Yueh Li (aka Amanda Winters) is a Singaporean writer who has an MSc. in Strategic Studies. She originally published her fantasy/sci-fi novels under the pseudonym Amanda Winters.

A huge believer in actually experiencing some of the things she writes about, Tabitha has spent years traveling to countries to see actual mummies and spent over 10 years learning about and practicing meditation and also delving into occult practices. Mostly to know if any of what various occult practitioners claimed was true. She has also spent over 3 years learning Western European martial arts, including how to properly use a medieval longsword in sparring situations.

She has worked for years first in publishing as an editor and then as a journalist in for online magazines. In her 30s, she worked as a lecturer in Singaporean tertiary institutions. It was while she was working as a lecturer that she discovered meditation and practiced an eclectic mix of the esoteric arts.
