Jaycie Morrison

Jaycie Morrison is a second generation native Dallasite who finally succumbed to her love affair with Colorado. She lives with her wife and the various creatures that visit them from the nearby national forest. As a youngster, she and her friends entertained themselves making up and acting out stories featuring characters from popular TV shows or favorite bands—lots of action and a little romance even then! A voracious reader, she always wondered what it would be like to write a book and found that once she started, it was impossible to stop. Her first book, Basic Training of the Heart, began a series that combines her love of the written word and of history. In Heart's Orders, the saga continued--although it may be read as a standalone novel. Guarding Hearts brought a (temporary?) end to the saga, and Jaycie published her first contemporary romance - Goldie finalist The Found Jar - in November of 2020. September of 2022 brought another novel, A Perfect Fifth, which introduced Jaycie's love of music. On My Way There, a "personal journey romance," in which her home state features prominently, won a Goldie for General Fiction. Her most recent release, Firecamp, is loosely based on actual events. When she’s not writing, Jaycie may be walking in the woods, experimenting with gluten free cooking, or pretending to be a rock star.
