Mark A. Fabrizi, Ph.D., is a Professor of English Education at Eastern Connecticut State University and Chair of the Education Department. He teaches courses in secondary English pedagogy, literacy, and education. His most recent books include the "Historical Dictionary of Horror Literature" (2023) and, co-written with Mike Bottery and Nigel Wright, "Writing a Watertight Thesis, 2ed" (2023). He has also edited books on critical literacy pedagogy: "Fantasy Literature: Challenging Genres" (2016) and "Horror Literature and Dark Fantasy: Challenging Genres" (2018). He is editor of "The Leaflet," the professional journal publication of the New England Association of Teachers of English. In 2019, he won an award for teaching excellence from the Connecticut State Board of Regents. He is currently working on the "Encyclopedia of Role-Playing Games" with two colleagues, Daniel Ravipinto and Neil McGarry. The book is expected to be released in 2026.
