Barbara Vortman

I've always lived in the beautiful state of Michigan.

My loves are family, teaching, and writing.

Family: I'm blessed with a husband who puts up with my faults, four terrific kids and their equally terrific partners, and six grandchildren who provide me with endless joy, laughter, and pride.

Teaching: Over the years, my favorite students have been pre-schoolers, adults with disabilities, or grandparents raising grandchildren. They taught me about the wonders of learning, appreciation of simple pleasures, and what it takes to be a real-life hero.

Writing: Creating novels is an amazing journey. Researching countless subjects, crafting sentences from a vast choice of words, following characters as they work their way through the story, and editing over and over bring tears of frustration and satisfaction.

I love to share my stories with readers everywhere.
